Paris fans have the exclusive opportunity to own this official match-used ball from the thrilling second leg Semi Final match against Arsenal. The huge fixture took place on 7th May 2025 and was held at Parc des Princes, Paris. 

The second leg highlighted Paris’ composure and precision as a team, as their 2-1 (3-1 aggregate) saw them sail through into the Champions League Final. 

The Match  

The anticipated fixture between the English and French sides, saw PSG secure a 2-1 victory. Despite Arsenal’s early pressure, which saw them have several scoring opportunities, it was Paris who scored first.  

Taking the lead in the 27th minute when Fabián Ruiz’s shot deflected off William Saliba and into the back of the net. 1-0 up going into the second half, it was Achraf Hakimi who extended the French club’s lead, with a precise shot in the 72nd minute. 

Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka claimed a goal for his team in the 76th minute, however Paris maintained their composure to keep the lead. PSG’s keeper, Gianluigi Donnarumma denied Arsenal on multiple occasions with crucial saves across both legs of the Semi Final. 

PSG won 3-1 on aggregate to progress through to the Final for only the second time in their history. The team went on to win the Champions League with an incredible 5-0 victory over Inter Milan.

The official match ball for the knockout phase of the 2024/25 UEFA Champions League was created by adidas and is adorned with imagery and designs paying tribute to Munich, the host city of the 2025 Champions League Final.  

Featuring white stars alongside hexagonal panels with green and copper tones, the ball is designed to visually represent Munich’s rooftops, landmarks and the Bavarian Alps. Symbols of Bavaria are also featured throughout including the English Garden, Hops, the Palatine Lion, Edelweiss and the Waldlerhaus.  

This ball is notable as it uses more bio-based materials than any previous UEFA Champions League match ball. Elements such as corn fibres, sugar cane, wood pulp, and rubber have been utilised to maximise sustainability and eco-consciousness, whilst maintaining the elite level performance expected by clubs and players competing in the Europe’s premier club competition.
